The article is devoted to the issue of preserving historical memory of the outstanding church and public figure of the 20th century, Saint Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky) on the Tambov land. The author gives an overview of the most important events in the life of Archbishop Luke during his service at the Tambov cathedra, and also sets out the chronology of the main measures taken by the public and the diocesan leadership from the 1990s to the present to perpetuate the memory of the saint: assigning his name to the city hospital; installation of monuments and memorial plaques on buildings associated with the life and work of the saint; opening of the Historical and Memorial Museum; the assignment of the name of Archbishop Luke to one of the streets of the city of Tambov.
