Orthodox Youth and the Challenges of the Modern World

The article focuses on the importance of the preservation of moral values and norms, whose source has been the Orthodox Church for centuries. Analyzing the concept of freedom from a theological point of view, the author places emphasis on spiritually dangerous developments of the modern world on spiritual life of young people, including widely spread fake news, manipulation tactics on the internet, and surrogate mass culture which have brought about moral degradation of the person as well as societal unrest. Alternatively to the aforementioned, the Christian ideal of love is capable of mending spiritual wounds of the soul.
