The article completes a series of publications devoted to the presentation of the anthropological teachings of St. Theophan the Recluse. Its subject is spiritual warfare of a Christian. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that in modern church reality there is a certain chaos in teaching the basics of spiritual life. Despite the large volume of spiritual literature, a certain skill and work of studying it is required in order to highlight the main notions. The purpose of the article is to present a specific model of spiritual struggle based on the writings of St. Theophan the Recluse. The author makes an attempt to study and comprehensively present the teaching of St.Theophan the Recluse on the conduct of the spiritual struggle of a Christian. The article uses methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and systematization. The study includes the following concepts: basic principles, strategy, tactics, technique and program, with the help of which the author builds the concept of spiritual warfare. This approach allows us to present the ascetic practice of a Christian in the form of a specific scheme of actions. In this regard, the article is more of an applied nature and can be used in the practice of parish education and catechesis.
