Abstract

The principle of personality "escapes any definition," but it presupposes "the potential for development, for the inclusion of the fullness of the Divine and human being." Authentic dialogue is based on a hypostatic principle that is common to both the Divine and the human being. This statement is viewed by the author of the article in the light of the "persona principle" formulated by Archimandrite Sophrony (Sakharov), one of the most significant Orthodox thinkers in the field of personality theology.
