On the methodology for the formation of speech competence of students of higher theological educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church

The article presents an overview of the main components of the concept of speech competence as an important component of the modern clergyman's activity. The author gives the lay-outs of practical classes implemented in the framework of the training course «Modern spiritual rhetoric» (major 48.04.01. «Theology» (master's degree), specialization «Russian spiritual literature») and justifies the relevance of the use of business games in the educational process, which includes a set of methodological tools for developing skills of effective speech communication.
