The article is devoted to the formation of a sense of patriotism among younger students by using the art of declaration in the lessons of Basics of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics. In the course of such work, the word is presented in such a way that it affects the student’s feelings, and also serves as an educational potential for their soul. As an example, art of declamation is described using the example L.A. Kassil’s story At the Blackboard.
