Current problems of modern Orthodox Internet content (on the example of the Pravoslavie.ru portal)

The paper presents a problem-thematic analysis of the content on the Internet portal “Pravoslavie.ru”. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that a significant part of the spiritual and educational, missionary and catechetical activities of the Russian Orthodox Church is currently carried out in the Internet space. Among the Orthodox resources, the Pravoslavie.ru portal is distinguished by the clearest structure and thematic diversity, which explains its demand among users. The subject of research in the article is the rating content (text publications and video materials) of the Pravoslavie.ru portal, as well as reader reviews and comments on it. Such information as the number of views and the rating of the portal’s publications, the number and content of comments
allows the author to evaluate the reader’s response and draw a conclusion about which areas of church life are of interest to Orthodox Internet users and encourage them to express their personal position. The work uses inductive, quantitative, comparative research methods, selective analysis, problem-thematic and content analysis. The results of the work can be applied in studying the demand for a teacher audience in certain thematic areas, such as church society, liturgy, practical theology, church history, and others.
