The ideal of upbringing in aristocratic Christian families in early Byzantium

In the article, the author examines the ideal model of child rearing that was developed among Christians in aristocratic families. The author comes to the conclusion that the educational paradigm (noble origin, religiosity, moral virtues, moderation of household habits, education and service to the state), which was developed in ancient times, still remains relevant, and has been supplemented and corrected by Christian teaching.
