The doctrine of true and false wisdom in the Epistle of the Apostle James (James 3, 13-18) applied to pastoral theology

This article discusses the New Testament teaching on true and false wisdom, set forth in the Epistle of James (Jas 3: 13-18). The analysis of the biblical passage can be applied to pastoral theology, since the apostle deduces this teaching, developing the idea of the teachers (Jas 3: 1). Analyzing the meanings of Greek words, as well as the historical and cultural context, the author examines in detail the key concepts and systematizes the apostle’s teachings on the wisdom. In conclusion, the fruits of true wisdom and their influence both on the shepherd and on his preaching are examined.
