Patriotic activities of the clergy of the Tambov diocese during the Great Patriotic War

The article analyses patriotic activities of the Tambov Diocese clergy during the Great Patriotic War. Many priests of the Tambov Diocese worked unsparingly on the home front hastening the long-awaited victory. The Soviet government highly appreciated their merits to the Motherland awarding them with the medal «For Valorous Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.» The clergy of the Tambov Diocese were very enthusiastic in raising funds to help the active army. Funds were also raised for the maintenance of hospitals, war invalids and orphanages for children.
