Heart as an Organ of a Person’s Spiritual Transformation

The article focuses on man as the crown of God's creation and the possessor of the world around them. In the context of Orthodox anthropology, the heart is looked upon as a reservoir of life, an organ of a person’s spiritual transformation, the basis of the individual’s internal hierarchy. The structure of a man’s personality is understood as the result of their communication with God, who nourishes the energy of the spiritual heart with the Life-giving Spirit. The author draws a conclusion about a harmonizing role of the spiritual heart in the structure of the man’s personality. Therefore, all human activities and efforts should be aimed at cleansing and connecting the mind and the heart.
