One of the exponents of the patristic heritage, a teacher of Christian morality and a spiritual guide to salvation is rightfully considered to be Saint Theophan (Govorov), the Recluse of Vyshensky. Saint Theophan the Recluse in his numerous works showed everyone who wanted the path to salvation, or how to properly organize a spiritual life that gradually transforms a person from a passionate, painful state to a new, holy, blessed one. Spiritual unity with Christ opens up to a person an endless perspective of life and at the same time its specific and complete meaning. Therefore, the spiritual heritage of the recluse saint should become the property or reference book for every person.
