Cultural heritage in narrative sources on the history of churches and monasteries of the Kozlov District of the Tambov Province (17th – 20th centuries)

The article presents a descriptive and analytical study of literary sources of a narrative nature about the history of churches and monasteries in the Kozlov district of the Tambov province of the 17th–20th centuries in the light of historical and cultural traditions. The emphasis in this work is on understanding the content of narrative materials on the history of temples and monasteries of the Kozlov district in their connection with the cultural and historical development of the Russian state. The relevance of the work is due to the need to preserve cultural heritage, national traditions, lifestyle features that are directly related to Orthodoxy. With the help of historical-cultural and descriptive-analytical methods, a complex of archival materials was studied; historical facts about the intra-economic life of monasteries and churches, the spiritual life and everyday nuances of their inhabitants, the cultural traditions of the local population, recorded in literary sources were comprehended. Comparative analysis and narrative analysis made it possible to identify the features of the considered literary monuments in the focus of historical reality. As a result, the author substantiates that the accumulation and comprehension of information about the cultural traditions of the Russian people on the basis of the analysis of narrative materials contribute to the revival of spiritual culture in the light of the fundamental values of Orthodoxy and the expansion of society's ideas in general and the historical community in particular about the historical and cultural process in all its diversity.
