The work analyzes religious motives in the novel “Vdova Kapitana” (Captain’s Widow) (Constantinople, 1920) and in the story “Dusha zhenshchiny” (Woman’s Soul) (Berlin, 1921). Attention is payed to the presence of religious motives in secular, social subjects, mainly related to the Orthodox ritual canon.
