Cartoons as a means of moral education of primary school children

The article is devoted to the issue of considering the role of the cartoon in the moral education of children of primary school age. In the modern world, the level of spirituality has significantly decreased. Cases of child aggression have become more frequent, including those among younger schoolchildren. As you know, the formation of moral qualities is considered especially significant in this age period, since all important personality qualities are laid and developed: in the process of everyday communication with peers, children learn to interact in a team, learn moral norms of behavior. So taking into account the peculiarities of the child's psyche, a visual-figurative (for example, cartoon) explanation of norms and rules is much more successfully perceived by the child. Cartoons have a unique pedagogical potential: in an unobtrusive and colorful form, they are able to reveal such important and complex concepts as friendship, mutual assistance, faith, reveal the norms of family relations, instill a love of work. However, many modern cartoons are harmful to the moral state of children. It is important to carefully monitor the content of cartoons offered to younger schoolchildren and conduct analytical work with children in an interesting way after the promoter. To this end, this paper presents the results of the analysis of cartoon pictures of different directions. In addition, the author proposes a project on the use of cartoons for the purpose of moral education of primary school children «Kaleidoscope of Goodness», whose tasks are to deepen children's knowledge of moral values and create motivation to make the right moral choice in everyday situations.
